About me

For several years I was a national newspaper film editor, reviewing all the major releases and interviewing stars and directors.

Now I’m a screenwriter for film and television, with over a dozen script sales/ commissions. I have a special interest in true stories, historical dramas and comedy.

I wrote BORN A KING (2019), a $21 million historical drama which broke box office records across the Gulf and Middle East. Based on true events and set in Arabia and the UK in 1919, it’s directed by Goya winner Agustí Villaronga and stars Ed Skrein, Hermione Corfield, Kenneth Cranham, Sam Adewunmi, James Fleet and Abdullah Ali.

It premiered at the Barcelona-Sant Jordi International Film Festival and won Best Film at the Inward Eye Film Festival, Lake District (patron Brian Cox). Produced by Andres Vicente Gomez and Stuart Sutherland.

Current projects include  THE COWBOY WAR, a limited series exploring the legend of Wild West lawman Wyatt Earp, for Stephen David Entertainment & Netflix.

I’m a Visiting Lecturer at the London Film School and a script consultant and private mentor available through The Writers’ Practice. Please visit their website here. I’d love to help you develop your screenplay.

I have a BA (Hons) in Modern History from Oxford University and am represented by Cynthia Okoye at Curtis Brown.
